The Leather Skillet Handle will keep the heat on those cast iron pans away from your hand! They are stiff and tight when new but will eventually conform to the handle of the pan. The curved shape makes for comfortable use.
Made from thick vegetable tanned leather, with burnished edges & waxed thread. The natural tan leather is hand-oiled & sealed and will gradually darken with age & use. Hand-cut, hand-punched holes and hand-sewn.
Vegetable tanning is the lengthy process of treating hides with plant & tree bark tannins to produce leather. "Veg tanning" is one of the oldest methods of tanning around. The result is a leather with a distinctive look and feel that ages beautifully.
