Leather billfold with plenty of pocket options to choose from. All options have a $ pocket, your choice of card pockets, and 2 pockets underneath the card pockets (one on the left and one on the right). You choose from 2 card pockets, or 4, or 6, or 8. Remember, even though this wallet is made from thin leather, the more pockets you add, the thicker the wallet will be.
Each wallet is handcrafted and made to order from full grain, vegetable tanned leather. They start out firm & stiff but with use, will gradually soften and mold to its contents and your pocket.
Before I make these card cases, the leather is a pale, light beige color showing its raw, organic tone. When you choose the Black Card Case, I hand-dye the leather after cutting it from the hide. If you prefer the Tan, I use oils that add color to the leather. This option has earthy, warm undertones and will darken considerably with time & use.
Hand-cut, hand-punched holes and hand-sewn, double whipstitch style, with waxed thread.
Vegetable tanning is the lengthy process of treating hides with plant & tree bark tannins to produce leather. "Veg tanning" is one of the oldest methods of tanning around. The result is a leather with a distinctive look and feel that ages beautifully.
