Made from USA Vegetable tanned leather & waxed thread. The black leather is hand-dyed and the natural tan is hand-oiled & sealed (this option will gradually darken with time & use). Hand-cut, hand-punched holes and hand-sewn, classic saddle-stitch style.
Vegetable tanning is the lengthy process of treating hides with plant & tree bark tannins to produce leather. "Veg tanning" is one of the oldest methods of tanning around. The result is a leather with a distinctive look and feel that ages beautifully.
SIZE: Field Notebooks measure approx. 6" x 4" x 1/2". Each book cover has a sliding cord stopper to keep it securely closed. The mini spiral notebook inside (5" x 3") is included and is easy to replace when it's all filled up (color of spiral notebooks vary).
Replica Buffalo & Indian Head Nickels measure just over 3/4" ... Rosette measures 1"... and Feather measures 1-1/4".
Choose from black or tan leather. Also choose between an antique nickel finish or the antique copper (on Rosette & Feather conchos).
