Leather is one of the world's oldest and most enduring materials used by humans. Leatherworking tools made from bone - like smoothing tools, scrapers, awls, and needles - date back as far as 400,000 (🫨) years. Believe it or not, some of the tools are similar in design to those used by modern leatherworkers, like me!
